We are recruiting an experienced and detail-oriented Environment and Social (E&S) Lead to join our client’s production team.
The successful candidate will ensure that all projects and operations align with environmental sustainability principles and social responsibility standards. This role requires strong expertise in governance, compliance, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement within regulated environments.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS)
Experience conducting Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD)
Understanding of IFC Performance Standards and World Bank EHS Guidelines
Knowledge of relevant national environmental and social regulations
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience in sustainability reporting and KPI tracking
Project management and leadership capability
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) and sustainability strategies
Lead Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) for new projects
Identify environmental and social risks and recommend mitigation measures
Ensure compliance with international standards and national laws
Manage relationships with host communities, regulators, and NGOs
Oversee execution of Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAP)
Prepare internal and external sustainability and performance reports
Track KPIs including carbon emissions, waste management, and social impact metrics
