About This Role

Rubycom Services Limited is seeking a skilled Documentation Officer (Import & Export – Sea Freight) to manage end-to-end shipment documentation and ensure full regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in sea freight documentation, strong knowledge of Nigerian Customs procedures, and the ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND with hands-on experience in Sea Freight documentation
  • Strong knowledge of Form M, PAAR, SONCAP, NAFDAC, and Nigerian Customs procedures
  • Practical experience liaising with Customs and regulatory bodies
  • Working knowledge of AEO clearance procedures
  • Good understanding of HS Code classification and tariff interpretation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end documentation for import and export sea freight shipments
  • Process Form M, PAAR, SONCAP, and other regulatory documentation
  • Prepare and submit shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, etc.)
  • Liaise with Nigeria Customs Service, shipping lines, terminal operators, and regulatory agencies
  • Track shipment status and provide timely updates
  • Ensure accurate HS Code classification and duty assessment
  • Maintain proper filing and resolve documentation discrepancies
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations and company policies
